    HAITIAN CREOLE

"My mom being an immigrant from Haiti coming to America to give herself and her kids a better life made me know I would always have to do something good with my life. While I sometimes took my mom’s sacrifices for granted, ultimately I knew that I had to do well in school and go to a good college for myself and to make my mother proud."

    by Samuel Jean-Lubin

    (translated in Haitian Creole)
