CHANGE & CORONA

CHINESE

BY JANICE HUANG

Throughout this quarantine I’ve been throwing myself into binging a
marathon of shows and I can’t say I regret it. I do it during my free time of course.
And this leads to my way of keeping people home and safe. There are plenty of
movies and shows to watch. If you don’t have any you want to watch, then find
one! There’s always a movie for someone. I’ll start off with a thriller movie called
“Train to Busan”. I think a big challenge during quarantine is to stay motivated.
Sometimes you just feel a surge of motivation and do everything at once, but the
next day all you want to do is stay in bed. I think a great way to motivate yourself
is watching videos of people studying or doing something productive. Personally,
that’s what helps me but I think it can help others too. To stay connected with
others, you simply need to start the conversation. There are people out there who
just don’t like starting the conversation or don’t know what to say. And if you also
don’t say anything, that leads to the loss of a connection and that’s why people
become distant. So be brave! Go say a simple “Hi! How are you doing?” that’s all
it will take!
